Although notable TV shows like Arrow and Supergirl have come to an end at The CW, the network remains very much in the business of producing DC properties. Up next, as first reported by Variety, The CW is developing a new series based on the Gotham Knights franchise.
Per the initial report, the brand new DC project hails from Batwoman alums Natalie Abrams, James Stoteraux, and Chad Fiveash. Additionally, Arrowverse stalwart Greg Berlanti will executive produce the series in conjunction with Warner Bros. Television. Sarah Schechter (Free Guy) and David Madden (The Shield) are also on board as executive producers as well.

After Batman’s apparent death, the Dark Knight’s former partners, Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood, must return to Gotham and, reluctantly, join forces in order to protect the city from the scourge of crime. WB Games Montréal is developing a video game based on the story that will be released in 2022. However, the upcoming CW series is not tied in with the video game. The CW series is still in early development with no casting information currently available.
With shows like The Flash, Black Lightning, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman still going strong in the CW, the Arrowverse is alive and well. Additionally, recent additions like Superman & Lois, as well as upcoming projects like Naomi, the relationship between DC and The CW remains intact.
